Capacity
The CMF Cartridge has a capacity of:
• Up to 22.800 liters*, when filtering bacteria and cysts, as long as the ceramic
portion is not broken or cracked, and you haven't cleaned through it.
• Up to 11.355 liters*, when adsorbing chlorine, tastes and odors.
*The capacity of the RWF-228 Water Filter depends on the amount of suspended
solids and particles in your local water system and the frequency with which you
clean the ceramic outer shell of the CMF Cartridge. In certain water supplies, tastes
or odors may be reduced but not completely eliminated or the flow may decrease
prior to reaching the rated capacity. In these cases, cartridges should be replaced
more often. For optimum performance, we recommend replacing the RWF-228
Filter CMF cartridge at least every 5 years.
Note: The contaminants removed by the RWF-228 Water Filter are not necessarily
in your tap water. RWF-228 Water Filters are intended for use only with municipally
treated tap water. Water of unknown origin can contain a variety of contaminants or
substances that may or may not be removed by RWF-228 Water Filter. The RWF-228
Water Filter has not been tested for the removal of arsenic.
