9.2 Safety and warnings
WARNING

Improper use of the appliance can result in
damage
to the appliance and other objects.
Place the appliance on an easily

accessible, level, dry and sufficiently
stable work surface.
•
Do not place the appliance on the edge
of a work surface.
•
Never place the appliance on or near
hot surfaces (e.g. cooker hotplates,
etc.).
•
Do not allow the mains power cable to
come into contact with hot parts.
•
Do not use the appliance if the plastic
components of the appliance are
cracked, split or deformed. Replace
damaged components only with
suitable original spare parts.
9.3 Intended use
The appliance is exclusively for frothing
and heating milk. The milk frother is
intended exclusively for use in private
households and is not suitable for
commercial use.
Use the milk frother only as described in
this instruction manual. Any other form
of use does not constitute an intended
use and can result in material damage or
even personal injury.
The manufacturer or dealer accepts no
liability for damage or injury resulting
from improper use or use for other than
the intended purpose.
For safety reasons, modifications or
alterations to the appliance are not
permitted.
10 Setting up the appliance
For safe and fault-free operation of the
appliance, the installation site must meet
the following requirements:
• Place the appliance on a firm, flat
and horizontal surface with
sufficient load-bearing capacity.
• Select the installation location so
that children cannot reach the
appliance.

• The appliance is not designed for
installation in a wall or built-in
cabinet.
• Do not place the appliance in a
hot, wet or very humid
environment or near combustible
material.
• The socket must be easily
accessible so that you can easily
pull out the mains power cable if
necessary.
• The installation and assembly of
this appliance at non-stationary
installation sites (e.g. ships) may
only be carried out by specialist
companies/professionals if they
ensure the prerequisites for the
safe use of this appliance.
Electrical connection
To ensure safe and fault-free operation
of the appliance, the following
instructions must be observed when
making the electrical connection:
• Before connecting the appliance,
compare the connection data
(voltage and frequency) on the
type plate with those of your
electrical network. This data must
match to prevent damage to the
appliance. If in doubt, contact a
qualified electrician.
• The socket must be protected by a
16A circuit breaker.
• Do not use extension cords. The
use of multiple plugs or power
strips is prohibited due to the
associated fire hazard.
• Ensure that the mains power cable
is undamaged and not routed
under the appliance or over hot or
sharp surfaces.
• The electrical safety of the
appliance is only guaranteed if it is
connected to a properly installed
protective earth system. Operation
on a plug socket without a
protective earth is prohibited. If in
doubt, have the house installation
checked by a qualified electrician.
You cannot hold the manufacturer
responsible for damage caused by
a missing or interrupted protective
earth.
