NUTRUNNER MOTOR TORQUE ADJUSTMENT
Fig. 1
Before making any adjustments always unplug nutrunner motor from
the power supply unit.
The tightening torque is adjusted by varying the clutch spring compres-
sion. It must never be fully compressed, nor compressed so much that
the clutch torque is higher than that specified in the catalogue for the nutrunner mo-
tor model concerned.
The clutch is set by tightening or untightening the threaded adjuster ring by inserting
the key provided into one of the slots in the housing of the outer body of nutrunner
motor; to gain access to the adjuster ring, slide the spring (see fig. 1). Turn the nutrun-
ner motor counter clockwise to increase torque or clockwise to reduce it (see fig. 2).
While using the screwdriver/nutrunner motor ALWAYS keep the
clutch adjustment slot closed.
Failure to follow this rule could lead to personal injury or damage to
objects. Do not switch on or start the screwdriver/nutrunner motor if
the slot is not closed properly.
If the screwdriver/nutrunner motor is used by accident with the slot
open, dust and dirt could get inside the clutch mechanism of the
screwdriver/nutrunner motor and affect its efficiency or reduce its
working life.
