Changing SDS-plus replaceable chuck
Removing (Figure III)
Pull replaceable chuck locking ring  to the rear (a),
hold it in this position and remove the replaceable
chuck from the chuck holder (b).
Protect replaceable chuck from dirt after removal!
Fitting (Figure IV)
Clean and lightly grease the end of the replaceable
chuck to be inserted prior to insertion.
Take firm hold of the replaceable chuck and push onto
the replaceable chuck holder 15 with a rotating action
until it is clearly heard to engage.
The replaceable chuck locks automatically. Check
locking by pulling the replaceable chuck!
Keyless replaceable chuck for tools with-
out SDS-plus (H 26-MLS)
With a single action the SDS-plus replaceable chuck
can be replaced with the keyless replaceable chuck 1
supplied. The keyless replaceable chuck is used for the
quick insertion of tools without SDS-plus (e.g. drills with
round shanks).
q Unplug from the mains before all work on the
product.
q Do not carry the product by the chuck!
q The keyless replaceable chuck is NOT suitable
for hammer drilling or chiselling.
q Tools without SDS-plus and the chuck will be dam-
aged if used for hammer drilling and chiselling.
Inserting tool (Figure V)
Hold the retaining ring 1 for the keyless replaceable
chuck and by turning the front sleeve 1, open suffi-
ciently to allow the tool to be inserted.
Hold the retaining ring and firmly turn back the front
sleeve by hand until no more clicking is heard. This ac-
tion automatically locks the keyless replaceable chuck.
Set the mode selector switch 11 to "Drilling" .

Removing tool (Figure VI)
The locking is released if the front sleeve 1 is turned in
the opposite direction to remove the tool (hold retain-
ing ring 1 during this process).
q Only use product with auxiliary handle 14.
Undo the handle by turning counter-clockwise. Rotate
the auxiliary handle 14 and adapt to the working posi-
tion (Figure VII).
Firmly retighten the handle.
The drilling depth can be set using the depth stop 13
(Figure VIII).
Press button 12 on the auxiliary handle and insert
depth stop 13 in the auxiliary handle 14 such that the
ribbing on the depth stop points downward.
Pull out depth stop until the distance between the drill
tip and the point on the depth stop is the same as the
required drilling depth "t".
Pay attention to mains voltage: The voltage of the pow-
er source must agree with the voltage specified on the
product's nameplate. Products marked with 230 V can
also be connected to 220 V.

Switching on/off

To place the product in operation, press On/Off switch
9 and keep pressed.
To retain the On/Off switch 9 in the pressed position,
lock using the lock-on button 8.
To switch off the product, release the On/Off switch 9,
or press and release it.
