2. SECURITY
2.1 Specific conditions of use.
This pump must not be used to supply drinking water. The following must not be pumped: salt water,
sludge, easily explosive or combustible substances, fats, oils, grease and foodstuffs. This equipment is
not suitable for commercial or industrial use.
2.2 General conditions of use.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience without at least one person being supervised or instructed in
the use of the pump for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the pump.
The following list of hazards are mainly encountered when operating a submersible pump even if safety
devices are used:
•
Do not use the pump in hazardous locations or near flammable liquids or gases.
•
Do not touch the connector with wet hands. Always disconnect the pump from the connector, never
from the power cable.
•
The rotating head and the power cable must be kept away from damp places. Protection must be
provided by an overcurrent protection of less than 30 mA.
•
Do not bend, squeeze, drag or drive on the power cable and extension cables, protect them from
sharp edges.
•
Hazards caused by filtrate and lubricants.
•
Switch off before any service or repair.
•
Before each use, first check the pump, especially the power cable, connector and level switch to
prevent possible damage and avoid fatal electric shock.
•
A damaged pump must be repaired by a professional technician before it can be used again.
•
Do not repair the pump yourself. Only professional technicians will perform this service or repair
the pump.
•
If the pump or power supply cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, service
technician or a qualified person.
