PLAYING COMPACT DISCS
1. Slide the POWER switch to the ON position to turn
the unit on; the POWER indicator will light.
2. Lift the CD Compartment Cover up and place a CD
on the center spindle, with the printed label side
facing up. Close the CD Compartment Cover.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button to begin
playback on Track 1.
4. Adjust the MASTER VOLUME control as desired.
Playback will continue until all of the tracks on the
disc have been played.
5. To stop playback before the disc ends, press the
STOP (I) button. The disc will stop and the display
will show the total number of tracks.
PAUSE
1. During CD playback, if you wish to pause the disc
momentarily, press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button.
Playback stops but the disc continues to spin.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button again to
release pause and resume normal CD playback.
SKIP
1. After you insert the disc into the CD player and the
total number of tracks appear on the display, you
may press either the SKIP o or n button to select a
specific track for playback.
2. When the desired track number appears in the
display, press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button.
Playback will begin on the track you selected.
REPEAT
1. To repeat a single track, press the REPEAT button
once; the REPEAT indicator will blink. Press the
SKIP o or n button to select the specific track that
you wish to repeat. When the desired track number
appears in the display, press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p)
button to begin playback. The specific track you
selected will be repeated continuously.
2. To repeat all of the tracks on a disc continuously,
press the REPEAT button twice; the REPEAT
indicator will light solid. Press the PLAY/PAUSE
(®p) button to repeat all tracks.
3. To cancel Repeat Playback, press the REPEAT
button until the REPEAT indicator goes out. You can
also cancel Repeat Playback by pressing the STOP
(I) button while in the Stop mode.
PROGRAMMED PLAYBACK (UP TO 30 TRACKS)
1. Slide the POWER switch to the ON position to turn
the unit on; the POWER indicator will light.
2. Lift the CD Compartment Cover up and place a CD
on the center spindle, with the printed label side
facing up. Close the CD Compartment Cover
3. Press the PROGRAM button; "01" will blink in the
display and the PROGRAM indicator will blink.

4. Press the SKIP o or n button to select the first track
that you wish to program. When the desired track
number appears in the display, press the PROGRAM
button again.
5. Repeat step 4 until you have programmed the
desired track numbers (up to 30 tracks) into the CD
Program Memory.
6. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button to begin
programmed playback. The PROGRAM indicator will
light solid and playback will begin on the first track
that you programmed. The player will continue to play
all of the tracks that you programmed in the order in
which you programmed them. When the last
programmed track has been played, the player will
stop and the display will again show the total number
of tracks on the disc.
RANDOM PLAYBACK
1. During playback, press the RANDOM button; the unit
will then randomly playback all the tracks on the cd
and stop.
PLAYING A CD+G
1. Slide the POWER switch to the ON position to turn
the unit on; the POWER indicator will light.
2. Insert a CD+G disc. Insert the microphone(s) into the
MIC jack(s). Make sure the unit is connected to a TV
or TV and stereo as shown on pages 8 and 9 of this
manual.
3. Press the PLAY/PAUSE (®p) button to start CD+G
playback and the image and lyrics will appear on the
external TV, if connected.
4. Rotate the AUTO VOICE control clockwise to
suppress the vocal tracks on the CD being played
when singing into the microphone. Rotate the AUTO
VOICE control counterclockwise to have the vocal
tracks on the CD play at normal volume.
5. Adjust the MIC VOLUME control as desired.
Increasing this control will increase the volume of the
microphone. Adjust the ECHO control to add an echo
effect to your voice. The ECHO control is variable so
add as much or as little reverb as desired. Sing or
talk into the microphone and you will hear both the
CD+G and the microphone.
6. Rotate the BALANCE control clockwise to decrease
the music sound level or counterclockwise to
decrease the vocal sound level.
