Installation - Existing Construction
CAUTION
Step 1: Removing the existing fan
Step 2: Measuring the ceiling opening
Step 3: Enlarging the opening if needed

Make sure power is switched off at service panel before starting
installation. Determine if you have above or attic acces.
• Remove the old fan from the ceiling.
NOTICE
When above or attic access
is availiable, it may be esier to remove
existing fan from above.
• Measure the opening to ensure it is
large enough to accommodate the
new fan body (A) (10.8 in. x 10.5 in.).
• All existing and new hole cut outs need to
be 10.8 in. x 10.5 in. For existing holes that
are smaller, enlarge hole to new size.
NOTICE For installations without
above or attic access, make sure the 10.5"
side of the hole cut out is flush with
ceiling joist.
NOTICE If you have above or attic
access you can refer to step 1 on page 8
of the new contruction instructions and
continue installation from there.
