PROGRAMMING SCRAMBLE
The scramble feature makes your
transmissions sound garbled to anyone
listening without the same scramble code. It
does not guarantee confidentiality, but it adds
an extra layer of privacy. Scramble mode is by
default set to 'OFF'.
Once you have entered 'Programming Mode'
and selected the channel in which you want to
enable Scramble (
through the programming modes by short
pressing the PTT button or
until the radio reaches the Scramble
Programming Mode.
The radio display shows the Scramble settings
as follows:
