e Maintain power tools. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving
parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the
power tool's operation. If damaged,
have the power tool repaired before
use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
f Keep cutting tools sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting tools with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to
bind and are easier to control.
g Use the power tool, accessories
and tool bits etc. in accordance
with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of
the power tool for operations different
from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
5 Service
a Have your power tool serviced by a
qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts. This
will ensure that the safety of the
power tool is maintained.
b If connection cables are damaged,
they must – in order to reduce the
risks – be replaced by the
manufacturer or by their customer
service representative.

the characteristic data specified in this
operating manual may not be used.
• Ensure that all of the moving parts of
the saw blade protector are able to
move without catching.
• The splitting wedge should always be
used and be set correctly, except
when carrying out insertion cuts.
• Use the correct splitting wedge for
the saw blade in use. The splitting
wedge must be thicker than the body
of the saw blade, but thinner than the
width of the teeth.
• Adjust the splitting wedge as
described in the operating
instructions. Incorrect thickness,
position and alignment may be the
reason why the splitting wedge does
not effectively prevent a kickback.
• Always use the splitting wedge except
for sink cuts. Re-fit the wedge
immediately after the sink cut. The
splitting wedge hinders sink cutting
and may cause the saw to kick back.
• Only use sharp saw blades and
suitable accessories.
• Fix small wooden items in place firmly
before processing. Never hold them
by hand.
• Do not use flanges/flange nuts with
drilled holes that are larger or smaller
than those of the saw blade.
• Do not brake the saw blade by hand.
• The machine is not to be used for
stationary operation.
