USING THE CHILD CAR SEAT IN
A FIXED OR ROCKING POSITION
(BABY ROCKING CHAIR USE)
When it is not used in the car, the
child car seat can also be used as a
bouncing or baby chair.
To use it in the rocking position, place
the handle in the "C" position.
To fix it, position the handle in posi-
tion ''D'' and extract the stabilizer foot
(fig. 9a).
Important! Please keep these instruc-
tions for future reference.
WARNING: Never leave the child unat-
tended
WARNING: Do not use the Reclined
Cradle once your child can sit un-
aided.
WARNING: This reclined cradle is not
intended for prolonged periods of
sleeping.
WARNING: It is dangerous to use the
Reclined Cradle on an elevated sur-
face, such as tables, chairs, etc..
WARNING: Always use the restraint
system.
The Reclined Cradle does not replace
a cot or a bed. Should your child need
to sleep, then it should be placed in a
suitable cot or bed.
Do not use the reclined cradle if any
components are broken or missing.
Do not use accessories or replace-
ment parts other than those ap-
proved by the manufacturer.
Wash by hand in cold water; Do not
bleach; Do not tumble dry; Do not
iron; Do not dry clean.
Age: From birth to approximately 6
months (up to 9kg.). Only place the
reclined cradle on flat, stable surfaces.
WARNING: Before carrying the rocking
chair, always place and lock the han-
dle in the vertical position "B".
HOW TO REMOVE THE FABRIC
COVER
To clean the fabric cover of the child
car seat, unfasten the harness and
remove the fabric cover. During
these operations, make sure that you
remove the fabric cover from the
adjustment button of the safety har-
ness, as shown in diag. 19. Please refer
to the care label for instructions on
cleaning the fabric cover.
Clean the safety belts, buckle and
plastic parts with a soft, damp cloth.
Do not use solvents or bleaching
agents: they may damage the com-
ponents or make them unsafe.
To fit / remove the sun canopy, it is
necessary to operate as shown in
diag. 20.
HOW TO FIT THE CHILD CAR SEAT
TO THE STROLLER
The Synthesis child car seat can be fit-
ted to Chicco strollers equipped with
the standard open/close "CLIK CLAK"
system.
Always check the type of hooks the
stroller is equipped with in the in-
structions booklet, and whether they
fit the child car seat.
15. Open the stroller following the in-
structions provided in the stroller's
booklet.
16. Place the Child Car Seat on a flat,
stable surface and turn the handle
to the horizontal position (C, see
diag. 18).
17. Remove the two locking pins from
the handle, pulling and turning
the two knobs that lock the seat to
the stroller (diag. 21).
18. Fit the Child Car Seat to the arm-
rests of the stroller (diag. 22), mak-
ing sure that it is locked on both
sides (a click will be heard, indicat-
ing that the child car seat is locked
