9. PIN CODE EMERGENCY OVERRIDE
This procedure allows disarming the system in case remote controls are flat or lost.
For security reasons, we recommend changing the 4‐digit PIN code from the factory setting 1‐1‐1‐1.
To override the system via the PIN code proceed as follows:
a) Trigger an alarm condition. After the warning signals, the LED will turn ON steady for approx. 5 sec.; while
the LED is ON, cycle ignition key ON/OFF.
N.B.: If ignition key stays in the ON position for more than 5 sec., the system will interpret the situation as a
theft attempt and trigger another alarm.
b) The LED will turn OFF to confirm the system is in overrride mode.
c) 4 sec. after it has powered OFF, the LED will flash 9 times in sequence.
d) Count the number of flashes and, at the number of flashes that equals the PIN 1st digit, cycle ignition key
ON/OFF to confirm the entered digit.
e) After 4 sec., there will be another sequence of LED flashes. When the number of flashes equals that of the
2nd digit, cycle ignition key ON/OFF to confirm the entered digit.
f) Repeat the above steps for the remaining 2 digits.
g) If the code has been entered correctly, the system will disarm with 3 Beeps and 3 flashes of the turn
indicators.
N.B.: Disarming the system via PIN code will inhibit "PASSIVE ARMING" and "SELF‐REARMING" f eatures, if enabled,
until the remote control is used again.
10. SLEEP MODE FUNCTION
In order to preserve battery life, the system goes into Sleep Mode 72 hours after it has been armed/disarmed or the
engine has been switched OFF resulting in near‐zero power consumption.
System armed: all the security functions are enabled but the remote controls and the status LED are inoperative. In
order to disarm the system, cycle ignition key ON/OFF and, within 5 sec., press remote control BUTTON 1.
System disarmed: the remote controls are inoperative. Normal operation is automatically restored upon turning
ignition ON.
11. PANIC ALARM
The panic alarm can be triggered with either an armed or disarmed system. Pressing remote control BUTTON 2 will
immediately activate the siren and the turn indicators for 25 sec..
To turn OFF the panic alarm before it times out, press BUTTON 2 again.
12. SEAT/TOPCASE OPENING
If the vehicle is equipped with a remote seat/topcase opener, it can be released (if connected) by pressing remote
control BUTTON 3 when the system is disarmed. A flash of the turn indicators will confirm operation.
