6.4 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 3 / item 2)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (3).
The battery capacity indicator (1) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs fl ashing:
The temperature of the battery is too low. Remove
the battery from the device and leave it at room
temperature for a day. If the error occurs again,
this means that the battery has been completely
depth-discharged and is defective. Remove the
battery from the device. Never use or charge a
defective battery.
6.5 LED light (Fig. 4 / item 6)
The LED light (6) can be used in poor lighting
conditions to illuminate the area where you
want to screw. The LED light (6) comes on
automatically as soon as you press the On/Off
switch (5).
6.6 Changing the bit (Fig. 5)
Caution! Set the changeover switch (4) to its
center position whenever you carry out any
work on the cordless impact driver (for example
changing the tool, maintenance work etc.).
Inserting the bit:
•
Insert the bit into the 1/4" chuck (1) as far
as the stop while simultaneously pulling the
sleeve on the 1/4" chuck (1) toward the bit.
•
Release the sleeve again.
•
Then check that the bit is securely seated.
Removing the bit:
•
Pull the sleeve on the 1/4" chuck (1) toward
the bit, hold it tight and remove the bit.
6.7 Screws
It is advisable to use self-centering screws (e.g.
cross recessed head) as these will enable you to
work safely and reliably. Always make sure that
the bit used is of the same size and shape as the
screw.

6.8 Removable holding clip (Fig. 1 / item 8)
When the holding clip (8) is fi tted, the equipment
can be hung e.g. on a belt. The removable holding
clip can be screw-fi tted to either the left or right-
hand side of the equipment. Fitting is possible but
not necessary.
7. Cleaning and maintenance
HAZARD!
Always take the battery out of the equipment
before starting any cleaning work.
7.1 Cleaning
•
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the
motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as
possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean
cloth or blow it down with compressed air at
low pressure.
•
We recommend cleaning the equipment
immediately each time after use.
•
Clean the equipment regularly with a damp
cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these may
be aggressive to the plastic parts in the
equipment. Ensure that no water can get into
the interior of the equipment. The ingress of
water into an electric power tool increases the
risk of an electric shock.
7.2 Maintenance
There are no other parts inside the equipment
which require maintenance.
8. Disposal and recycling
The equipment is supplied in packaging to
prevent it from being damaged in transit. The
raw materials in this packaging can be reused or
recycled. The equipment and its accessories are
made of various types of material, such as metal
and plastic. Never place defective equipment in
your household refuse. The equipment should
be taken to a suitable collection center for proper
disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of
such a collection point, you should ask in your
local council offi ces.
