a quality scooter. It has been constructed utilising quality components available through most bicycle shops. With
periodic maintenance, common sense use and care, your scooter can provide many years of riding enjoyment.
PLEASE NOTE - If you are missing a part, or if you have any questions, please do not return the scooter to the
store, please call or contact the Customer Service Centre (+49 (0) 1805 25 63 63, service@carromco.com) and we
will endeavour to assist with any queries that you may have. Please also note your model number (as detailed on the
front page of this manual and also located on the barcode panel of the colour label on the front apron of the carton
packaging) as this information is necessary should you need to contact us with any product queries.
WHEELS, TIRES, WHEEL BEARINGS
Under normal circumstances and conditions, the wheels and wheel bearings are maintenance free. Nonetheless, it
is the responsibility of the owner or guardian to periodically inspect the wheels for wear and tear, the axle for proper
tightness and wheel bearings for side-to-side play and loose parts. When a wheel or wheel bearing develops play,
this is an indication of excess wear and replacement is necessary. Replace immediately with only genuine wheels.
Worn tires/ wheels/ wheel bearings are considered normal wear-and-tear and are not covered by the Retailer
Warranty. The wheels and the axis bolt are fixed with screws, locking nuts, which don't loosen in normal use.
However, for your safety, check the tightness of the screw-nuts before each use. If once loose, following a violent
impact, please contact the dealer for a review and tightening as the thread locking is necessary to ensure a perfect
setting. The wheel bearings require no special maintenance (other than lubrication see: MAINTENANCE). When the
wheel bearings are worn out or not operating smoothly, please change them.
REPLACEMENT OF WHEELS
To change the wheels, loosen the axle fitting with 2 Allen keys and take the wheels off the axle. Allen key can be
used to push the bearings out of the wheel to use them in the new wheel. However, it is usually advisable to change
the bearings when the wheels are changed. Put the bearings into the new wheel with the bolt spacer and mount
them to the frame with the axle screws. Make sure the axle has been screwed on tightly before starting again!
HOW TO RIDE AND BRAKE
Place one foot on the deck, push forward with the other foot. For enhanced cornering, lean slightly into the direction
of the turn. For controlled stops, apply the brake by stepping on the rear fender/brake. We recommend that you
practice applying the brake at various speeds and in an open area free from obstructions before riding your scooter
around others. Please check the brake performance after each use. The brake will get hot from continuous use. Do
not touch after braking.
MAINTENANCE
Frequent inspections should be carried out to ensure that nuts, bolts and fixings are secure and that no parts
are worn or damaged. Self-locking nuts and other self-locking fixings may lose their effectiveness. Always inspect
scooter prior to riding, especially the self-locking nuts and other self-locking fixings. Periodically check for undue
wear to the wheels and braking mechanism. Please replace wheels if applicable. It is most important to replace worn
or damaged handlebar grips. Periodically and sparingly lubricate moving parts with a light oil front axle, rear axle and
steering head bushes. Do not make any modification other than mentioned in this instruction
