ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES FOR BATTERIES AND
CHARGERS

Use batteries and chargers applicable to this machine.
BATTERIES
PT
• Never try to open for any reason.
• Do not store in places where the temperature may exceed 40 C.
• Charge only at room temperature between 4ºC and 40ºC.
EN
• When disposing of batteries, follow the instructions given in the
section "Protecting the environment".
• Do not short circuit. If the connection is made between the
FR
positive (+) and negative (-) terminal directly or by accidental
contact with metal objects, the battery will be short-circuited
and a strong current will flow causing heat generation which may
cause the case to break. or a fire.
• Do not heat. If batteries are heated above 100 C, the sealing
and insulation separators and other polymeric components can
be damaged, causing electrolyte leakage and/or internal short
circuits leading to heat generation and rupture or filing. Also, do
not dispose of batteries in fire, as explosions and/or severe burns
may result.
• Under extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur. When you
notice liquid in the battery, proceed as follows:
• Carefully wipe off the liquid with a cloth. Avoid contact with skin.
• In case of contact with skin or eyes, follow the instructions below:
1. Rinse immediately with water. neutralize with an acid
mild as lemon juice or vinegar.
2. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with
clean water for at least 10 minutes.
3. Consult a doctor.
Fire danger! Avoid shorting the contacts of a battery. Do not
incinerate the battery.
CHARGERS

BATTERY CHARGER
The lithium ion battery can be charged at any time and will not develop
a "memory" when charged after partial discharge. It is not necessary
to deplete the battery charge before recharging it. Remove the battery
pack from the tool when it is convenient for you and your work. You can
"top off" your battery pack before starting a big job or a long period
of use. Due to the non-fading properties of lithium-ion, the only time
the lithium-ion battery pack needs to be charged is when the pack has
reached the end of its charge. To signal the end of charging, the power
to the tool will rapidly reduce. Charge the battery as needed.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
This lithium-ion battery pack ships partially charged. Before using it for
the first time, fully charge the battery. A fully discharged 2.0Ah battery
with a temperature between 4 C and 40 C will charge in approximately
1 hour.
Plug the charger adapter into the power source. The green light on the
charger cradle will illuminate, indicating that the charger is on.
Slide the battery all the way into the charger mount. The red light on
the charger cradle will illuminate, indicating the battery is charging.
The red light will turn off after charging is complete and a green light
will appear.

it to cool to room temperature before charging. This will extend the
life of your batteries.
