Active Speaker System
These instructions are intended for operators
without any specific technical knowledge . Please
read these instructions carefully prior to operating
the unit and keep them for later reference . All
operating elements and connections de scribed
can be found on the fold-out page 3 .
1 Operating Elements
and Connections
1 Input MIC 1 IN as an XLR jack and 6 .3 mm
jack (balanced) for connecting a microphone
[for models PAK-112MK2 and PAK-110MK2:
merely "MIC IN"]
2 For model PAK-115MK2 only: Input MIC 2 IN
as an XLR jack and 6 .3 mm jack (balanced) for
connecting another microphone
3 Input LINE IN as RCA jacks; when both jacks
are connected (e . g . stereo signal from a CD
player), a sum signal (mono) will be created
from the signals
4 Input LINE IN as an XLR jack for connecting
signal sources with line level (e . g . mixer)
5 Output LINE OUT as an XLR jack and 6 .3 mm
jack (balanced) for routing the mixed signal
e . g . to another active speaker system
6 Cooling fins
7 Volume control LEVEL for the microphone
input MIC 1 IN (1) [for models PAK-112MK2
and PAK-110MK2: merely "MIC IN"]
8 For model PAK-115MK2 only: Volume control
LEVEL for the microphone input MIC 2 IN (2)

Replace a fuse that has blown by one of the
same type only .

2 Safety Notes
The unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
WARNING The unit uses dangerous mains volt-
age . Leave servicing to skilled per-
sonnel only . Inexpert handling or
modification of the unit may result
in electric shock .

The unit is suitable for indoor use only . Protect
it against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity and heat (admissible ambient tem-
perature range 0 – 40 °C) .
•
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
unit, e . g . a drinking glass .
•
The heat generated inside the speaker system
must be dissipated by the cooling fins (6) .
Therefore, they must not be covered . Never
place the speaker system directly against a wall;
always keep a sufficient distance beetween the
speaker system and the wall .

Do not operate the unit and immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket
1 . if the unit or the mains cable is visibly dam-
aged,
2 . if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3 . if malfunctions occur .
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel .

Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting
the mains plug from the socket, always seize
the plug .
•
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals .
•
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is
not correctly installed or operated, or if it is not
repaired in an expert way .
If the unit is to be put out of operation
definitively, take it to a local recycling
plant for a disposal which is not harmful
to the environment .
