USE INSTRUCTIONS.
Before starting up the jig saw, we recommend that
you carefully read all of the instructions as indicated.
Please respect all regulations regarding the preven-
tion of accidents, health and safety directives, laws
and applicable restrictions for work places. The jig
saw must only be used by persons who have been
instructed in its use and only for the purposes for
which it has been designed.
POWER SUPPLY.
Make sure the power supply is adapted to the re-
quirements shown on the information panel of the
jig saw (1). Using the motor at low voltage will make
it operate slowly. This will reduce performance and
may cause the motor to overheat.
EXTENSION CORD.
If the working area is at some distance from the
power supply, use an extension cord of enough dia-
meter and quality.
CHANGING BLADES.
Raise the transparent protector (2). Pull the blade
attachment lever and slide the base of the blade into
the slot, making sure that the teeth point forwards
(3). Check that the rear of the blade is supported in
place in the roller slot, and then release the lever
(4). Fit the transparent protector back in place.
ADJUSTING BASE ANGLE.
The jig saw is designed for cutting in 45º angle just
by bending the base to the left or to the right (5). To
do it, loosen the lever on the base of the jigsaw (6).
Tilt the base left or right at the required angle (7).
Tighten the lever again to fix in the final position (8).
BLADE SLOPE REGULATOR.
Use the blade slope control to set the most suita-
ble position for the material we are cutting (9). Place
the lever at the "0" position when cutting very fine or
hard materials or metal plates (10). Place the lever
at the "III" position when cutting soft materials or fi-
bre sheets (11). The jig saw is equipped with a four
positions blade slope regulator just for adjusting it to
all kind of cutting materials.
BLOCKADE BUTTON.
If you want to block the jig saw for a continuous use
at a concrete speed, press the blockade button at the
same time that you press the switch (12). To stop this
function press again the switch and release it.
SPEED REGULATOR.
The jig saw is fitted with a cutting speed regulator
placed at the rear part (13). 6 speed positions are
available from the slower marked 1 to the faster
marked 6. Select the more suitable level of cutting
speed based on the kind of job to be developed.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS.
Make sure you use the right kind of blades for the type of
work you are doing and reject any blades that are faulty
or worn out. Hold the jig saw firmly and always keep it
in front of you. Before starting to cut, make sure that
nothing is in the way of the cutting line. Make sure that
the object you are cutting is perfectly held in place. Do
not press down with excessive force on the blade while
cutting, or exert any sideways pressure on the blade.
WOOD CUTTING.
Before cutting, make sure the piece does not have
any metal elements incrusted, such as nails, screws
or metal plates.
METAL CUTTING.
We recommend lubricating the piece being cut to
prevent the saw blade from overheating due to fric-
tion caused while cutting.
MASONRY CUTTING.
Cutting certain materials may produce dust that is
a health hazard, meaning suitable protective mea-
sures must be always taken. Clean the blade with
a lightly dampened cloth, and make sure the venti-
lation vents are kept clear. Keep the base clean to
make sure the jig saw cuts correctly.
DUST EXHAUST SYSTEM.
The jig saw is provided with an own dust exhaust
system in which it is possible to install a dust bag or
a external vacuum system (14). To connect the dust
bag to the jig saw, simply push the bag over the dust
extraction port and to remove, pull the bag off (15).
For the dust bag to work at its optimum level its best
to empty when only 30% full.
ADJUSTING THE PARALLEL CUT GUIDE.
The jigsaw is equipped with a cutting guide to make
parallel cuts up to 15 cm wide. To attach it, loosen
the wing nut and insert the guide rod into its hou-
sing in the base (16).
