WARNING
WHEN USING THIS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
BURN HAZARD
To avoid risk of burns:
• Sterilizer components and water temperature
can be very hot. Avoid direct contact with
water and steam. Handle with care.
• Do NOT touch surfaces that may be hot.
Wait until all parts of the unit have cooled
before touching them.
• During use, steam is released from the
vent on top of the lid - Keep hands and
face away from the vent.
• Do NOT cover the vent.
• Do NOT place Sterilizer under any object
that could be damaged by steam.
• NEVER remove the lid when in use.
• It is recommended to wait before removing
the lid. Make sure to open the lid away from
you and slowly let out any residual steam.
• Do NOT move Sterilizer when in use or
when contents are still hot.
• Use oven gloves to remove from the
microwave and to remove the lid when using
in microwave mode.
CAUTION
• NEVER use without water.
• Always measure water amount in a separate
container, and pour directly into Sterilizer.
• This is NOT a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
• Adult supervision required.
• Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
• For household use ONLY-Do NOT use outdoors.
• Do NOT use appliance for other than
intended use.
• The use of accessory attachments is not
recommended by Chicco and could cause
injuries or damage.
• Do NOT use with any bottle or item that is
not intended to be heated.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or
electric burner, or in a heated oven.
• NEVER use the Sterilizer without the
Lower Rack – Objects placed directly on
the heating plate will cause damage to the
object and the plate.
• NEVER place items on top of the Sterilizer.
• Do NOT use chemical sterilizing solutions/
tablets or bleach in the Sterilizer.
• Always clean and rinse the objects before
placing them in the Sterilizer.
• Not for space heating purposes.
• Do NOT place metal objects into the
Sterilizer when using in microwave mode.
CAUTION
• For glass feeding bottles - make sure glass
bottles are clearly marked as microwave
safe before using in microwave mode.
• If microwave is equipped with a grill
function, make sure the grill function is
turned off and has cooled down before
using the Sterilizer.
• For use with 600-1200W power microwaves.
• Do NOT microwave longer than the
recommended sanitizing time shown in
the chart. This may cause damage to the
Sterilizer.
• Do NOT let cord hang over edge of table
or counter or touch hot surfaces.
• A short power cord has been provided to
reduce the risk of it becoming entangled or
being tripped over.
• Extension cords may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
• If an extension cord is used, its electrical
rating must be as great as the rating of the
appliance and not draped over the edge of
the countertop or tabletop where it could
be pulled by children or tripped over. The
extension cord should be a grounded type
3 wire cord.
• ALWAYS attach plug to appliance first
before plugging the cord into the wall
outlet.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, a polarized electrical
outlet will only allow the plug to be inserted
one way. If the plug does not fit fully into
the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do
not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
• Remove plug from outlet when the
appliance is not in use, before putting on
or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before handling.
• Inspect carefully before each use. Do not
operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in
any manner. If Sterilizer is faulty and/or
not working correctly, switch it off
immediately and unplug it from the wall
outlet.
• To protect against electrical shock do not
immerse cord, plugs, or Sterilizer in water
or other liquid.
• Do NOT use if the Sterilizer, plug, or cord
accidentally falls into water or becomes
submerged.
