8. ASSEMBLY/ DISASSEMBLY
8.1 Assembly RC400-xx
The MOPEDIA rigid frame wheelchair is supplied with the backrest, seat, armrests and foot-
rests disassembled.
- To assemble the backrest, simply insert the two ends of the tubes into the openings on the
rear frame of the chair. Then fix the backrest using the supplied knobs.
- To assemble the seat, match the c-clips (fixed on the underside) to the frame, and press
down on the perimeter of the seat to lock it in place.
- To fit the armrests, insert the iron ends into the relevant pairs of holes on the side of the seat.
- The footplates must be inserted from the outside of the wheelchair, matching the two pins
on the frame with the two holes on the footplate. The footplates must always face the
inside of the wheelchair. To fasten the footplate, make sure that the locking lever has
clicked into place and that it engages around the corresponding iron tab on the frame.
8.2 Assembly RC410-xx
The MOPEDIA rigid frame wheelchair is supplied with the backrest, seat, rear wheels, arm-
rests and footrests disassembled.
- To assemble the backrest, simply insert the two ends of the tubes into the openings at the
back of the chair. Then fix the backrest using the supplied knobs.
- To assemble the seat, match the c-clips (fixed on the underside) to the frame, and press
down on the perimeter of the seat to lock it in place.
- To mount the 60 cm rear wheels use the only 2 bolts + nut supplied with the wheelchair
(TIGHTEN THE NUTS TO SUFFICIENCY IN ORDER TO AVOID THE WHEELS LOOSING
DURING NORMAL USE).
- To fit the armrests, insert the iron ends into the relevant pairs of holes on the side of the seat.
- The footplates must be inserted from the outside of the wheelchair, matching the two pins
on the frame with the two holes on the footplate. The footplates must always face the
inside of the wheelchair. To fasten the footplate, make sure that the locking lever has
clicked into place and that it engages around the corresponding iron tab on the frame.
8.3 Footrest adjustment
The footrests of rigid frame wheelchairs can be adjusted according to the height that offers
the best comfort by using the nuts+screws located on the oblique tube of the footrest itself.
Check always that the two footrests are at the same height.
