2.2. ASSEMBLY
Once the unit is in place, proceed as follows: (See pages 91 to 105).
1: Attach filter to monoblock according to model (Ø300, p. 91), (Ø400, p. 96), (Ø500, p. 100).
2: Fix the pump to the base with the screws and washers supplied.
3: Place the inner collector correctly on the bottom of the filter.
• Cover the mouth of the collector situated on the inside of the filter with a plastic protector to make
sure sand does not enter (Fig.3).
• Put the sand inside the filter: the height of the sand should not exceed 2/3 of the height of the tank
(Fig.3).
• Remove the remains of sand from the filter opening and take off the protective plastic.
4: Put the selector valve with its coupling in place and secure with the metal band or seal (Fig.4).
• Firmly tighten the screw on the metal band that joins the valve to the filter (Fig.4).
5: Pressure gage assembly.
6: Connect the (PUMP) and (RETURN) terminals of the selector valve to the corresponding hoses, tightening
them firmly with the clamps. (Fig.6) .
NOTA: Check that the hoses allow the filtration unit to be located and fixed on a flat, solid
surface that is more than 3.5 metres from the pool.
3. TOP SELECTOR VALVE
VALVE TYPES AND FUNCTIONING
A 5-way valve: The selector valve on top of the filter is used to select the 5 different filter modes: filtration,
backwashing, rinsing, draining and closed.
B 6-way valve: This valve has the same mode as the 5-way valve plus a recirculation mode.
To vary the position of the valve, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the unit from the mains.
• Firmly press the lever on top of the valve whilst loosening the front rib until it can be turned.
• Gently turn the lever until the front rib is aligned with the desired setting.
• Slowly release the lever ensuring that the front rib fits in place.
