11. When heating food in plastic or paper
containers, keep an eye on the oven due to
the possibility of ignition.
12. The microwave oven is intended for heating
food and beverages. Drying of food or clothing
and heating of warming pads, slippers,
sponges, damp cloth and similar may lead to
risk of injury, ignition or fire.
13. If smoke is emitted, switch off or unplug the
appliance and keep the door closed in order to
stifle any flames.
14. Microwave heating of beverages can result in
delayed eruptive boiling; therefore care must
be taken when handling the container.
15. The contents of feeding bottles and baby
food jars shall be stirred or shaken and the
temperature checked before consumption, in
order to avoid burns.
16. Eggs in their shell and whole hard-boiled eggs
should not be heated in microwave ovens
since they may explode, even after microwave
heating has ended.
17. Regarding the instructions for cleaning
surfaces in contact with food, as well as details
for cleaning door seals, cavities and adjacent
parts, please refer to chapter "After use".
18. The oven should be cleaned regularly and any
food deposits removed.
19. Failure to maintain the oven in a clean
condition could lead to deterioration of the
surface that could adversely affect the life
of the appliance and possibly result in a
hazardous situation.
20. The appliance shall not be cleaned with a
steam cleaner.
21. The microwave oven is intended to be used
freestanding. It must not be placed or used in
a cabinet. Do not obstruct the air vents. A free
space of minimum 20 cm must be kept above
the top surface of the oven.
22. The appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
23. Danger of electric shock! Do not
attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
In case of malfunction, repairs are to be
conducted by qualified personnel only.
24. If you use an extension cord or a multi-socket
unit, it must have an appropriate power rating.
25. Never use accessories which are not
recommended by the manufacturer. They
could pose a safety risk to the user and might
damage the appliance. Only use original parts
and accessories.
26. Protect the appliance against dust, direct
sunlight, dripping and splashing water.
27. Do not place any heavy objects on the
appliance. Do not place any objects with open
flames (e.g., candles) or objects filled with
liquids (e.g., vases) on or near the appliance.
28. Do not pull the power plug out of the electrical
outlet by the power cord.
29. Connect the power plug to an easily
accessible electrical outlet so that the
appliance can be unplugged quickly in case
of an emergency. Disconnect the power
plug from the electrical outlet to turn off the
appliance completely. Use the power plug as
an emergency means of disconnecting from
power.
30. Always stop the cooking or setting process
before disconnecting the power plug.
31. If the power cord should overheat, stop using
the appliance and disconnect the appliance
from the electrical outlet.
32. Do not operate the appliance without foodstuff
inside. This may result in damage to the
appliance.
33. Only use the appliance with the glass
turntable, roller ring and drive coupling
installed and properly turning.
34. Do not remove the mica plate covering the
wave guide.
35. When it becomes necessary to replace the
appliance's light, please consult your dealer to
have it replaced.
36. Hot food may also heat the dishes containing
it. Therefore, always use potholders when
removing food from the appliance.
37. Do not store objects in the appliance. Do not
leave any paper objects, cooking utensils or
food in the appliance.
38. Always prepare food in a big enough container
to prevent overflowing/overboiling.
39. Exercise caution when cooking or reheating
food with a high sugar content. If heated for
too long, the sugar may caramelize or ignite.
40. Do not use this appliance to reheat food
in heat-retaining bags intended for normal
ovens, such as roasting bags. Such heat-
retaining bags usually contain a thin layer of
aluminum foil that reflects microwaves. This
reflected energy could cause the outer paper
covering to become so hot that it ignites.
41. Do not use the appliance for deep-frying food.
Hot oil can damage the inside of the appliance
as well as utensils and result in skin burns.
Do not leave the appliance unattended when
