♦ Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other
liquid, or place it under a running tap.
♦ If the appliance is not kept clean, its surface may deterio-
rate, which will inevitably shorten the appliance's useful
life, as well as making it unsafe to use.

heating function following a prolonged period of standing
idle or operating only with the fan, it may give off a little
smoke at first, this is due to dust or other particles on
the heating element being burned, and is not cause for
concern. This phenomenon can be avoided by using a
vacuum cleaner or a jet of compressed air through the
slits of the appliance to clean the inside of the appliance
before use.
