PLACEMENT OF THE UNIT
Place the sand filter system (empty of sand) close to the pool. Important: the system must be
located far enough from the pool so that splash water cannot damage the pump or cause
flooding.
The system must also be placed on a secure, stable surface. The filled tank will be very heavy and
must not tip over, e.g. due to collapsing ground, nor cause any damage to your floor.
Take into account the connections to be made later, e.g. water and pump power, when positioning
the filter.
Ensure that the instruction label is still visible on the tank and pump in case any questions or issues
arise later.
Instructions
• Ensure that the filter works under pressure and that the pump can provide sufficient power.
• If the pump is placed above the water level, a backflow valve must be installed in the system
(please refer to the instructions for the pump in question).
• If the pump is positioned below the water level, it is important for maintenance purposes to
ensure that the water supply to the pump is interrupted, otherwise the water may run out of
the pool unhindered.
• Hoses and connections should be kept as short as possible and without any kinks. This reduces
the flow capacity, meaning your system would suffer unnecessary loss of performance.
• Make sure that the connection rings, hose clamps and all sealing rings are properly positioned.
• Never over-tighten the screws of the hose clamps and the neck of the tank. This would damage
them and cause the system to lose pressure.
SETUP (Graphic page 3)
• Monitor the pump with the four short screws on the base plate (fig. 1).
• Models with pre-filter only: Close the pump pre-filter with the cover and the large O-ring.
Important: Do not use tools, only tighten by hand.
• Mount the drain on the lower outlet of the tank as shown in the picture. Ensure that you
remember the gaskets, otherwise water loss may result (fig. 2).
