Safety warnings for sanding tools
Sanding tools are fragile, which is why you
must be extremely careful when handling
them. The use of damaged, incorrectly
clamped or inserted sanding tools is dan
gerous and can cause serious injuries.
Ensure that the sanding tools are not ex
posed to any mechanical damage or harm
ful environmental conditions during stor
age.
Handle and transport sanding tools with
care.
Pay attention to the information on the la
bel or the sanding tool itself, as well as us
age restrictions, safety warnings or other
instructions. If any points are unclear when
choosing sanding tools, the user must con
tact the manufacturer for information be
fore using the tool.
Sanding discs must be fitted in accordance
with section 6.4.
Only experienced staff are permitted to fit
sanding tools.

Emission levels

The levels determined in accordance
with EN 62841 are typically:
Sound pressure level
Sound power level
Uncertainty
CAUTION
Noise generated when working
Risk of damage to hearing
► Use ear protection.
Vibration emission level a
three directions) and uncertainty K measured in
accordance with EN 62841:
The specified emission levels (vibration, noise)
are used to compare machines.
They are also used for making preliminary
estimates regarding vibration and noise
load during operation.
They represent the primary applications of
the power tool.

The emission values may deviate from the
specified values. This is dependent on how
the tool is used and the type of workpiece
being machined.
► The actual load during the entire operating
cycle must be evaluated.
► Depending on the actual load, suitable pro
tective measures must be defined in order
to protect the operator.
► Grinding thin sheets of metal or other easi
ly vibrating structures with a large surface
can result in a total noise emission much
higher than the declared noise emission
values. Such workpieces should as far as
possible be prevented from emitting sound
by suitable measures such as the applica
tion of heavy flexible damping mats.

Intended use

The power tool is intended for surface sanding
on concrete surfaces, sanding off formwork
transitions and removing plaster, paint, adhe
sive residue, coatings or rust and for cleaning
concrete and wooden surfaces.
The power tool is designed for use with special
sanding discs according to EN 13236 recom
mended by the manufacturer (see section 6.4)
and must not be used with composite sanding
discs.
The power tool must only be used for dry sand
ing of large surfaces with a powerful mobile
dust extractor.
The user is liable for improper or non-in
tended use.
