6. Test the location for the Baby Unit
If you plan to install your Baby Unit in a designated location and use your home
Wi-Fi network to connect your video monitor. You need to test which of the
monitoring areas within your house have good Wi-Fi signal strength.
To check the Wi-Fi signal strength:

Adjust the distance or direction between your Baby Unit and the Wi-Fi router if needed.
•
Depending on surroundings and obstructing factors that affect signal strength, such
as distance and internal walls, you may experience reduced Wi-Fi signal.

Note:
• To avoid interference from other
electronic devices, place your baby
monitor at least 3 feet (1 meter)
away from devices such as wireless
routers, microwaves, cell phones and
computers.
Caution:
• The default volume of your Parent
Viewer is level 3, and the maximum
volume is level 5. If you experience a
high-pitched screeching noise from
your baby monitor while positioning:
- Make sure your Baby Unit and Parent
Viewer are more than 3 feet (1 meter)
apart, OR
- Lower the volume of your Parent
Viewer.
