in electric shock, fire, property damage and/or serious

ence.
WARNING All locally legislated safety rules regard-
ing installation, operation and maintenance shall be
respected at all times.
Statement of Use
• For professional use only.
• This product and its accessories must not be modified in
any way.
• Do not use this product if it has been damaged.
• If the product data or hazard warning signs on the prod-
uct cease to be legible or become detached, replace with-
out delay.
• The product must only be installed, operated and ser-
viced by qualified personnel in an industrial environ-
ment.
Intended Use
This equipment is designed to be used together with power
tools with exclusive industrial use to withstand the reaction
torque generated by the tool, and to counteract the weight of
these tools and accessories. To be used within the specified
load / torque capacity.
No other use permitted. Indoor use only.

Installation hazards
• Mount the torque arm bracket / support securely. Ensure
the torque arm support has a minimum safety factor of
five times the combined maximum load capacity plus
torque arm weight.
• When using a balancer with the torque arm:
• Ensure that the balancer suspension support has a mini-
mum safety factor of five times the combined maximum
load capacity plus balancer weight.
• Attach an additional support cable or chain to another
support independent of the one holding the balancer.
• Examine the suspension hooks, cable and chain for wear.
Replace any worn parts before installation.

• Check that the tool holder is securely tightened before
operating the torque arm or tool.
Operating Hazards
• Do not exceed the recommended load or torque capacity
ranges.
• Operators must be physically able to manoeuvre the
torque arm. If you are unfamiliar with the torque arm,
adjust the tool to a low torque setting the first time you
operate it.
• Daily examine the torque arm attachment and all struc-
tural parts for wear or cracks. Replace the entire arm if
extensive wear, damage or cracks are detected.
• Do not operate the torque arm if damaged or malfunc-
tioning.
• Examine balancer suspension hooks, cables, cable stops
and chains daily for wear. Replace worn parts before fur-
ther use.
• Check daily that there are no loose screws or nuts. Re-
place worn nuts or washers before further use.
• Regularly perform a complete functionality check, in-
cluding fully extending and retracting the torque arm
throughout its complete range of movements. If high
friction is detected, one or more tubes may be deformed
or damaged and the entire torque arm must be replaced.
Repetitive motion hazards
• When using a power tool to perform work-related activi-
ties, the operator might experience discomfort in the
hands, arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of the body.
• Adopt a comfortable posture whilst maintaining secure
footing and avoiding awkward or off-balance postures.
Changing posture during extended tasks can help avoid
discomfort and fatigue.
• Do not ignore symptoms such as persistent or recurring
discomfort, pain, throbbing, aching, tingling, numbness,
burning sensation, or stiffness. Stop using the tool, tell
your employer and consult a physician.
Workplace Hazards
• Slip/Trip/Fall is a major cause of serious injury or death.
Be aware of excess hose left on the walking or work sur-
face.
• Proceed with care in unfamiliar surroundings. Be aware
of potential hazards created by your work activity.
• Torque arms are not insulated from coming into contact
with electric power sources and are not intended for use
in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Signs and Stickers
The product is fitted with signs and stickers containing im-
portant information about personal safety and product main-
tenance. The signs and stickers shall always be easy to read.
New signs and stickers can be ordered by using the spare
parts list.
