Causes
Battery overvoltage.
In order to start up, the solar
charge controller needs the
battery voltage to be > 6V.
Connection problem (cables,
terminals...).
Defective battery.
Short circuit.
No battery or connection
problem.
Solar panel not properly
connected.
Usual functionning:
panel voltage lower than
battery voltage.
Usual functionning: no
sunlight (ex. night).
Hot spot protection of your
panel might be activated.

Solution
Disconnect the solar panel then
check if the battery is not in
overvoltage
or
that
coupling
voltage
does
exceed the accepted input
voltage of the solar charge
controller (12V/24V).
Check the battery's voltage,
recharge it if necessary.
Check connections.
Replace your battery in the
same
disconnection

installation and connection).
Check
battery

Check battery connections.
Check panel connections.
The panel will star charging as
soon as the panel voltage is
higher
than
the
voltage.
The charge will resume as soon
as the light becomes stronger.
