Possible cause
The appliance is

Solution
Plug the appliance in an
earthed wall socket.
Turn the timer knob to the
required preparation time to
switch on the appliance.
Slide the pan into the
appliance properly.
Use a pointed object to
press the RESET button at the
bottom of the appliance.
Put smaller batches of
ingredients in the basket.
Smaller batches are fried
more evenly.
Turn the temperature
control knob to the required
temperature setting (see
the 'settings' section in
the chapter 'Using the
appliance').
Turn the timer knob to the
required preparation time
(see the 'Settings' section
in the chapter 'Using the
appliance').
