TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Compressor will not run
Motor hums but cannot run
or runs slowly
Internal overload switch trips
repeatedly
Air tank pressure drops
when compressor shuts off
Excessive moisture in
discharge air

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Battery is not charged
Pressure switch bad
Tank is full of air
Internal overload switch is tripped
Shorted or open motor winding
Defective check valve or unloader
Lack of proper ventilation/room temperature
too high
Electrical overload
Loose connections (fittings, tubing, etc.)
Loose drain valve / open drain valve
Check valve leaking
Excessive water in air tank
High humidity
Defective pressure switch
Excessive air usage
Connections leaking

SOLUTION
Recharge battery pack.
Take compressor to service center.
Compressor will turn on when tank pressure
drops to cut-in pressure.
Follow instructions in Reset Button in the
Operation section to reset.
Take compressor to service center.
Take compressor to service center.
Move compressor to well-ventilated area.
Turn off unit and allow to cool; remove and
reinstall battery packs.
Check all connections with soap and water
solution and tighten.
Tighten drain valve / close drain valve.
Take compressor to service center.
DANGER:
Do not disassemble check valve, tank
drain valves or safety relief valve with air
in tank — bleed tank.
Drain tank.
Move to area of less humidity; use air line filter.
Take compressor to service center.
Decrease air usage; compressor not large
enough for tool's requirement.
Take compressor to service center.
Tighten connections.
