Adjusting the camshaft with the adjustment gauge
7. Apply the gauge with the crankshaft locked in OT-position to the camshaft wheels and judge its
setting.
8. If the check marks of the camshaft wheels are in front of the gauge's check marks, you can adjust
the setting by spinning the lower drive belt guide counterclockwise.
9. If the check marks of the camshaft wheels are behind the gauge's check marks, you can adjust
the setting by spinning the lower drive belt guide clockwise.
10. Tighten all screws and pulleys in accordance to the manufacturer's recommendations and
reassemble the vehicle again.
USE
NOTE
Always check the manufacturer's
recommendations to make sure the drive belt is
properly assembled.
WARNING! You must NOT take out a drive belt
until the camshaft and the crankshaft wheel(s)
have been locked in OT-position.
