saw off and away from your body. When transporting or
storing the chainsaw, always attach the guide bar cover.
Proper handling of the chainsaw will reduce the likelihood
of accidental contact with the moving saw chain.
10. Follow instructions for lubricating, tensioning chain,
and changing accessories. Poorly tensioned or lubricated
chain can break or increase the possibility of kickback.
11. Keep the handles dry, clean, and free of oil and grease.
Greasy and oily handles slip and cause loss of control.
12. Cut wood only. Do not use the chainsaw for unforeseen
purposes. For example: Do not use the chainsaw to cut
plastic, masonry, or non-wood building materials. Using the
chainsaw for operations other than those intended could
result in a dangerous situation.
13. Operator Kickback Causes and Prevention: Kickback
can occur when the tip of the guide bar touches an object,
or when the wood closes and squeezes the saw chain into
the cut. In some cases, the contact of the tip can cause a
sudden reverse reaction, causing the guide bar to lift and
back toward the operator. If you squeeze the saw chain
along the top of the guide bar, the guide bar can quickly
push it towards the operator. Any of these reactions can
cause you to lose control of the saw, which could result in
serious personal injury.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

1. I CANNOT FIT THE BATTERY INTO
THE BATTERY CHARGER. WHY?
The battery can be inserted into the charger only in one
direction. Turn the battery around until it can be inserted
into the slot.
2. HOT BATTERY PACK PROTECTION.
The normal charging temperature is between 0º and
50º. When the battery pack is too hot, it automatically starts
a HOT battery pack delay, and suspends charging until it
has reached the correct temperature. The charging process
will then automatically begin.
3. BATTERY PACK OVERLOAD AND
LOW-VOLTAGE PROTECTION.
When max. allowable battery current is exceeded during
working, the overload protection is activated to protect
the battery against overheating. When the battery is under
normal voltage during working, the power tool will cease
to operate.
MAINTENANCE
SHARPENING THE SAW CHAIN
Sharpen the saw chain when:
- Mealy sawdust is produced when cutting wet wood.
- The chain penetrates the wood with difficulty, even when
high pressure is applied.
- The cutting edge is obviously damaged.
- The saw pulls to the left or right on the wood. (caused by
uneven saw chain sharpening or damage to one side only)
Sharpen the saw chain frequently, but a little at a time.
Typically, two or three strokes with a file are sufficient for
routine regrinding. When the saw chain has been shar-
pened several times, have it sharpened at our authorized
service centre.
