ADJUSTING THE EYECUPS/USE WITH
AND WITHOUT GLASSES
The eyepiece cups (1) are telescopic. They
can be pulled out (1a) or pushed in (1b) for
viewing without or with eyeglasses, respec-
tively.
ADJUSTING THE EYEBASE
(See also illustration 2 on the rear cover flap)
To set the eyebase, rotate the binoculars'
optical systems (5) around their hinged joints
(4). The left and right fields of view must
merge and produce a single circular image.
FOCUSING/DIOPTER
COMPENSATION
(See also illustrations 3a/b on the rear cover flap)
The focus for variously distant objects is set
with the central focusing ring (2).
Compensation for individual defective vision
for viewing without eyeglasses is made using
the diopter ring (7)
1. Cover the right lens or close your right eye.
2. Target a distant object.
3. Set the optimum sharpness for your left eye
using the focusing ring.
