Description
This installation sheet includes installation and wiring
information for the KZD705 Deep Mounting Base.
Wiring
Caution:
To ensure correct operation of your system, you
must follow the recommended cabling practices described
below.
The cable used should:
•
Have a cross-sectional area of at least 1.5 mm
•
Have maximum resistance of 13.3 Ω/km per core
Connection
Connect the mounting base as shown in Figures 1 and 2:
•
Figure 1: Addressable connection
•
Figure 2: Conventional connection
End-of-line connection: connect contacts 1 and 3.
An earth connection is required.

Note:
Break the cable entry tab (see figure 3) for direct cable
connection. The maximum cable width is 10 mm.
Maintenance and testing
Basic maintenance consists of a yearly inspection. Do not
modify the internal wiring or circuitry.
To test the mounting base:
1.
Remove the detector head from the base.
2.
If the control panel fails to indicate the test all connections
should be checked and the unit address verified (where
applicable).
