Biolan Rooftop Ventilator
powered ventilation fan for dry toilets,
wastewater treatment plants, and other
ventilation applications. When installing
in a storage space or bathroom, make
sure that no condensation or rainwater
can enter the structures of the building.
In cold premises, insulate pipes where
necessary. The operation of the rooftop
fan is not dependent on wind direction.

Starting maintenance
See spare parts information in the parts image and
the parts list. Perform all maintenance work safely
and disconnect the Biolan Rooftop Ventilator from its
installation location before starting maintenance, as shown
on pages 2-4. Perform maintenance work on a clean, flat
surface. Note! Do not carry the product by the ventilation
blades.
Bearing replacement (part 11)
Replace the bearings (2 pcs.), if necessary, as shown on
pages 5-6. Lift the blade assembly off the central frame
before performing any maintenance.
Insect screen cleaning (part 6)
Clean (or replace) the insect screen, if necessary, as shown
on page 7. Lift the blade assembly off the central frame
before performing any maintenance.
Blade replacement (part 4)
If necessary, replace the blade as shown on pages 7-8.
Tip! Hold the blade assembly in place in the central frame
during the maintenance procedure. The central frame
reducer (part 17) serves as a good stand.
Maintenance completion
If you use a 75 mm diameter air conditioning pipe, lower
the blade assembly into place in the central frame before
reinstalling the rooftop ventilator. Install the rooftop
ventilator back into place by following the same principle
as on pages 2-4.

Materials for manufacturing the parts are indicated in the
parts list. Dispose of each part properly and always follow
the regional and collection point specific guidelines in force
in your country.
Warranty
The Biolan Rooftop Ventilator has a one-year warranty.
1. The warranty is valid from the date of purchase and
covers possible defects in material and workmanship.
The warranty does not cover any indirect damage.
2. Biolan Oy reserves the right to either repair or replace
damaged parts at its discretion.
3. Any damage resulting from careless or forcible
handling of the device, failure to observe the operating
instructions, or normal wear and tear are not covered
by this warranty.
