Setting the transformer
Read USE AND CARE GUIDE of the transformer you purchased from The Home Depot. Follow the instructions to set
the transformer in PHOTOCELL AUTO ON/OFF mode.

Setting the controller
Setting: OFF mode
The Factory Default Setting on the controller is OFF mode. When the transformer is set to AUTO (dusk till dawn) and
the controller is in the OFF mode, the transformer will supply uninterrupted power to the landscape lights day and
night. Refer to auto or timed settings for the controller as described below.
Setting: AUTO mode
Press the Auto button on the controller. The Auto indicator turns on. The PHOTOCELL AUTO ON/OFF mode is now
activated. This setting allows the controller to turn the lights on at dusk and off at dawn. In this setting, motion sensing
is defeated.
Setting: TIME mode

Press the Time button once. The 4h indicator turns on. The PHOTOCELL AUTO ON/ 4 HOURS OFF mode is
now activated. This setting allows the controller to turn the lights on at dusk and off after 4 hours. Motion
detection is activated after 4 hours.

Press the Time button twice. The 6h indicator turns on. The PHOTOCELL AUTO ON/ 6 HOURS OFF mode is
now activated. This setting allows the controller to turn the lights on at dusk and off after 6 hours. Motion
detection is activated after 6 hours.

Press the Time button three times. The 8h indicator turns on. The PHOTOCELL AUTO ON/ 8 HOURS OFF
mode is now activated. This setting allows the controller to turn the lights on at dusk and off after 8 hours. Motion
detection is activated after 8 hours.

With the controller in Time settings, the controller automatically goes into motion detection mode following the
selected Time setting. When motion is detected in this period, the controller will turn the lights back on for a
period of 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the lights will turn off and the controller will revert to motion detection
mode. Motion detection mode is automatically turned off at dawn.
Indicator Auto Shut-down
The LED indicator light on the controller turns off after approximately 1 minute. Press any button on the controller to
turn on the LED indicator light.
