The double check valve assembly must
be isolated and depressurized before the
pressure sensor modules can be safely
removed for replacement. This task
should be performed only by a qualified
licensed technician and completed before
the modules are replaced. Failure to
follow these guidelines may result in a
malfunctioning assembly.
NOTICE
Use of integrated pressure sensors does not
remove the need to comply with all required
instructions, codes, and regulations related to
installation, operation, and maintenance of the
backflow preventer

The replacement pressure sensors ship affixed
to adapters. All three sensor modules must be
replaced at the same time even if only one sen-
sor has failed or been damaged. This ensures
identical calibration across modules for accurate
pressure data. The same sensor cables can be
used with the replacement sensors.
Tool requirement: ¾" open end wrench
1. Disconnect all three cables from the
pressure sensors.
2. Use a ¾" open end wrench to unscrew
the pressure sensor modules from the test
cocks on the valve assembly.
3. Install the replacement modules, tightening
each connection to seat the units properly.
4. Reconnect the cables to the pressure sen-
sors, being sure to connect each cable to
the correct pressure-sensing test cock; that
is, cable 1 to test cock No. 2, cable 2 to test
cock No. 3, and cable 3 to test cock No. 4.
5. Using a flathead screwdriver, open the
purge valve on each sensor adapter to
release excess air from the adapter.
6. Restore operation of the valve assembly.
