Cleaning and care

• Regularly inspect all mounting bolts and make sure they
are tightened properly. If any of the bolts are loose, tighten
them immediately.
Service
• Tool service should only be performed at a
Authorized Service Center.
• Service and maintenance by unqualified persons can be
dangerous and may result in personal injury and void the
product warranty.
Lubrication
• It is recommended that the tool drive be lubricated every
change of carbons at a
Service Center.

Carbon Brushes replacement
• The maintenance indicator will light up when the carbons
have excessive wear or excessive sparking, at which time
you should visit a
• The carbons should be checked periodically, and always
be replaced by a
Center when they have worn out.
• After they have been replaced, have the new carbons
inspected to see if they can move freely in the holder and
have the tool turned on for 5 minutes to match the contact
of the carbons and commutator.
• Only
replacement carbons designed with the hardness and
electrical resistance for each type of motor should be used.
Out of specification carbons can damage the motor.
• When changing the carbons, always replace both
carbons.
