Notes for network separation
The product has no power switch and may be used only in ea-
sily accessible outlets to quickly remove it in an emergency
and after use.
Voltage-free only with pulled plug.
• In case of emergency, after use and during a thunders-
torm, pull the mains plug out of the socket directly at the
plug housing.
• Do not insert any objects into ventilation slots or connec-
tion sockets!
• Do not open the housing.
• Do not modify product and accessories.
• Do not short-circuit connectors and circuits.
Do not operate a device if it is not in working order. In such ca-
ses, it must be secured against unintentional further use.
• Use product, product parts and accessories only in per-
fect condition.
• Do not place or operate the product near open flames, co-
oking appliances or devices that generate heat such as ra-
diators or stoves.
• Do not place any objects on the product.
• Do not cover the product.
• Keep sufficient clearance around the entire system to en-
sure good ventilation of all equipment and to avoid damage.
• Avoid stresses such as heat and cold, moisture and direct
sunlight, microwaves, vibrations and mechanical pressure.
• In case of questions, defects, mechanical damage, troub-
le and other problems, non-recoverable by the documenta-
tion, contact your dealer or producer.

cidental use.
2 Description and function
2.1 Product
The product is a network distributor that expands your home
network without much installation effort and enables the net-
working of several PCs and other Ethernet-capable devices
with each other or with the Internet. It supports auto-negotiati-
on, i.e. unlike a hub, data packets are forwarded to the desired
target device by hardware address. Auto-MDI(X) automatical-
ly adapts the transmitting and receiving power to the communi-
cating devices. The „Store and Forward" transmission method
guarantees secure data transmission.

3 Intended use
This product is intended exclusively for private use
and its intended purpose. This product is not inten-
ded for commercial use. We do not permit using the
device in other ways like described in chapter „Description and
Function" or in the „Safety Instructions". Use the product only in
dry interior rooms. Not attending to these regulations and safe-
ty instructions might cause fatal accidents, injuries, and dama-
ges to persons and property.
IP20: This product is protected against medium sized foreign
objects, but not against water ingress.
4 Preparation
1. Check the scope of delivery for completeness and integrity.
2. Compare the specifications of product, power supply and
peripherals.These must be identical.

5 Connection and operation
See Fig. 2.
1. Connect any RJ45 connection (2) of the network switch to
your router via a shielded network cable.
2. Connect any RJ45 connection (2) of the network switch to
your PC and/or other Ethernet-capable devices via a shiel-
ded network cable.
3. Connect the supplied power supply unit (5) to the DC con-
nection (1) of the network switch and to an easily acces-
sible socket.
The network switch can be cascaded as required, i.e. several
network switches can be used together.
The network switch works automatically and does not contain
any elements to be operated during use.
If necessary, disconnect the network switch from the power
supply for about 5 minutes to reset it.
6 Maintenance, Care, Storage and Trans-
portation
The product is maintenance-free.

Material damage
• Only use a dry and soft cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use detergents or chemicals.
• Store the product out the reach of children and in a dry and
dust-protected ambience when not in use.
• Store cool and dry.
• Keep and use the original packaging for transport.
7 Disposal instructions
According to the European WEEE directive, electrical
and electronic equipment must not be disposed with
consumers waste. Its components must be recycled or
disposed apart from each other. Otherwise contamina-
tive and hazardous substances can damage the health and
pollute the environment. As a consumer, you are committed by
law to dispose electrical and electronic devices to the producer,
the dealer, or public collecting points at the end of the devices
lifetime for free. Particulars are regulated in national right. The
symbol on the product, in the user manual, or at the packaging
alludes to these terms. With this kind of waste separation, ap-
plication, and waste disposal of used devices you achieve an
important share to environmental protection.

• Utilisez le produit, pièces et accessoires des produits uni-
quement en parfait état.
• N'installez et n'utilisez pas le produit à proximité de flam-
mes nues et de produits de cuisson ou générant de la cha-
leur comme les radiateurs ou les fours.
• Ne placez pas d'objets sur le produit.
• Ne couvrez pas le produit.
• Maintenez un espace libre suffisant autour de l'ensemble
du système afin de garantir une bonne ventilation de tous
