- If the kettle is overfilled, the water may
boil over.
- The surface of the heating element re-
mains hot after use.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, never
immerse electrical parts, the base con-
taining the plug or the kettle in water or
other liquid.
Do not use in the bathroom or near any
source of water. Do not use outdoors.
- For variable temperature digital ket-
tles only:
Do not use the appliance at an altitude
of more than 2000 m.
For countries outside the EU only:
- Do not allow the appliance to be used
by persons (including children) with
psychological, physical or sensory im-
pairments or with inadequate experi-
ence or knowledge, unless closely su-
pervised and instructed by someone
responsible for their safety. Children
should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use the kettle on a sloping sur-
face.
- Do not use the kettle unless the element
is fully immersed.
- To avoid damaging the appliance, do
not clean with alkaline detergents.
Clean with a soft cloth and mild wash-
ing-up liquid.
- Never move the kettle while in opera-
tion.
Notes:
-
The appliance must be used to boil water only. Boiling any
other liquids, such as milk or alcoholic beverages, is to be
considered improper use and therefore dangerous.

Take care when pouring, do not tilt the kettle excessively.
Water could penetrate the start mechanism.
-
The filter may represent a risk of suffocation, never
leave unsupervised after cleaning.
-
Excessive build-up of limescale could jeopardise correct
operation of the kettle and must therefore be avoided by
descaling the appliance following the instructions given
on the descaler.

Do not touch hot parts such as the body or lid of the kettle.
Use the handles and knobs.

Do not place the kettle, electric base and electrical com-
ponents on hot surfaces, cooking hobs or stoves.
-
Do not leave the power cord hanging from the edge of the
table and keep away from hot surfaces (for example, the
top part).
-
Do not use the kettle without the lid and filter. (the kettle
might not switch off).
-
Do not fill with more than 1/1.7 litres of water (up
to the MAX level).
-
The kettle goes off automatically when the water boils
(the/button snaps out and the light goes off).
-
To turn the kettle off before the water boils, move the ON/
OFF button to the OFF position.
Condensation forming on the base is perfectly normal and
not a cause for concern.

Empty the kettle every time after use. Rinse the kettle
with clean cold water if it is not used for more than two
days.
To save electricity and avoid wasting water, fill only to the
level necessary each time.

Never try to block the ON/OFF button in the ON position or
regulate the mechanism.
-
A safety system shuts off power to the kettle if it is turned
on with too little, or no, water.
If this happens, unplug the kettle from the mains power
supply and leave to cool down before filling with cold wa-
ter (failure to do so could damage the appliance).
Materials and accessories coming into contact with
food conform to EU regulation 1935/2004.
Disposing of the appliance
The appliance must not be disposed of with household
waste, but taken to an authorised waste separation
and recycling centre.
