Loading Salt into the Softener dispenser
Always use salt intended to be used with dishwashers.
NOTE: If your model has no water softener, you may skip this section.
WATER SOFTENER
Water hardness varies from place to place. If hard water is used in
the dishwasher, deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. This
appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses salts specifically
designed to eliminate lime and minerals from the water.
The salt container is located beneath the lower basket and should be
filled as follows:
Attention!
Only use salt specifically designed to be used in dishwashers!
All other types of salt not specifically designed to be used in a
dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water softener.
The manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any
damages caused by the use of unsuitable salt.
Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing
programmes.
This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which may have been
split, from remaining on the bottom of the machine for any period of
time, which may cause corrosion.
After the first wash cycle the control panel light goes off.
