ASSEMBLING THE HANDLES
See Figures 2 - 3.
With the RIDGID logo facing away from you, insert the
tubes of the right and left handle assemblies into the
power head base plate tubing.
Each handle will align with two holes on each side and
cannot be installed unless they are properly aligned.
After all hardware is installed, tighten first by hand, then
tighten securely with the included tools (hex key and flat
wrench).
Connect the right side handle to the exposed cable lead-
ing to the motor controller in the power head.
Secure the two wire harness connectors of the wire as-
sembly by screwing the terminals together until thumb
tight with the integrated nut on the power head connector.
ASSEMBLING THE HOLE AUGER
See Figures 4 - 5.
Stand the auger bit upright with tip pointing down.
Remove the locking pin with pin clip from the auger.
Install the drive shaft onto the power head.
Align the holes on the auger and drive shaft.
Insert the locking pin and secure with the pin clip.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of electrocution, never use the
auger near any buried electrical power cables.
Contact with or use near buried electrical power
cables may cause serious injury or electric shock
resulting in death.
