3.2. Preparation for operation
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C and ambient humidity should not
exceed 90%. Place the unit in a way that ensures good air circulation. Keep the unit
away from any hot surfaces. Always keep the device out of reach of children and
persons with reduced mental, sensory or intellectual functions. Place the unit in
such a way that the mains plug can be reached at any time. Ensure that the power
supply to the unit corresponds to that specified on the identification plate!
3.3. Working with the unit
3.3.1.
TURNING THE UNIT OFF/ON:
The unit includes an "I"/"0" on/off switch located on the main casing. Make
sure the switch is in the "0" position before connecting the product to the
mains supply.
3.3.2.
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING HEAD BLADES
The pressure of the cutting head blades is set at the factory and does not
require additional adjustment. After unpacking the device and connecting it
to the mains supply, you can immediately start the shearing process.
A. ADJUSTMENT
If additional adjustment of the device is required, tighten the tension nut
(B) by turning clockwise until the first noticeable resistance is felt (too high
blade pressure setting will generate a loud noise). Then loosen the tension
slowly by making two counterclockwise turns. The noise level generated
by the device should now diminish or stabilize. Start using the unit. If the
clipping is abnormal, increasing the blade pressure is recommended.
