Your 493041 Princess can opener has been
designed for opening cans and sharpening
knives and scissors. The appliance is suitable
for indoor use only. The appliance is suitable
for domestic use only.

Assembly
Before you proceed, we need you to pay
attention to the following notes:
-
Before assembly, always switch off the
appliance and remove the mains plug from
the wall socket.
Mounting the blade lever (fig. B)
•
Insert the mounting pin (9) into the
mounting hole (10).
•
Lower the blade lever (3) to check whether
it is properly mounted.
Use
Opening cans (fig. A & C)
The diameter of the can must be between
50 mm and 100 mm. The maximum height of
the can is 178 mm.
Before you proceed, we need you to pay
attention to the following notes:
-
Beware of sharp parts. Be careful with the
cut edges of the can and the lid after
opening the can.
Before you proceed, we would like you to
focus your attention on the following notes:
-
Do not use the appliance for opening
pressurized cans.
-
Do not use the appliance for opening cans
with flammable liquids (e.g. lighter fluid).
-
Do not use the appliance for opening cans
with other opening methods (e.g. pull tab
or rolling key).
-
Do not use the appliance for opening
rimless cans or cans with angled corners.
•
Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
•
Hold the appliance with one hand.
•
Raise the blade lever (3).
•
Tip the can so that the rim of the can is
under the locating post (6). The lid of the
can will be attached to the magnet (5).
•
Lower the blade lever (3) to set the on/off
switch (1) to the on position. Make sure that
the blade (2) is inside the rim of the can.
The drive wheel (4) will rotate the can and
the blade (2) will cut open the lid of the can.
Note: It is not necessary to keep the blade
lever pressed down or support the can while
opening the can.

The on/off switch (1) will be automatically
set to the off position after the can has
been opened.
•
Hold the can with one hand and raise the
blade lever (3) with the other hand to
remove the can from the magnet (5).
•
After use, remove the mains plug from the
wall socket.
Hints for use
•
If the total weight of the can is more than
510 g, hold the can opener to avoid
overturning.
•
If there is a dent in the rim of the can, start
the cutting process just beyond the dent or
open the other end of the can. Cans with
heavy seams, uneven rims or odd shapes can
cause the appliance to come to a standstill.
If the appliance comes to a standstill,
slightly turn the can by hand to help the
cutting process.
