spindle. Do not over tighten.
(5) Reattach the depth adjustment cover.
To remove a cutting bit, perform the above steps in reverse
order.
WARNING: Do not tighten the clamping
screw (b) (8) without a cutting bit in
place or you could damage the spindle collet.
Installing base guide
Unscrew the clamping screw (a) (4) on back of the depth
adjustment cover. Slide base guide (5) over the rail to the
desired position. (See Fig. B)
Tighten the clamping screw (a) (4) to secure.
Installing extension guide
When bevel cutting or notching, extension guide is efficient
for straight cut.
Assemble the extension guide (17) with the clamping bolt
(16) and clamping nut (18). (See Fig. C1) Install the extension
guide (17) on the tool with the clamping screw (a) (4). (See
Fig. C2) Loosen the clamping nut (18), and then adjust the
distance between the tool bit and the extension guide (17).
Tighten the clamping nut (18) at desired distance.
When cutting, always ensure the extension guide (17)
flushes with the side of the workpiece. (See Fig. D)
If the distance between the side of the workpiece and the
cutting position is too wide for the extension guide, or if
the side of the workpiece is not straight, firmly clamp the
extension guide to the workpiece and use it as a guide
against the base plate.
Installing template guide
Template guide is used to cut materials into the same
shape. (See Fig. E)
The template guide (14) provides a sleeve that the bit can
pass through, allowing the use of the trimmer with template
patterns. To use it, loosen the screws at the bottom of the
depth adjustment cover (9) and then remove the base plate
(5).(See Fig. F1) Put the template guide (14) at the top. (See
Fig. F2) And then fit the base plate (5) and tighten it with
screws. (See Fig. F3)
Secure the base plate to the workpiece and move the
tool with the template guide sliding along the side of the
template. (See Fig. G)
NOTE: The size of the workpiece that has cut will be
slightly different from the size of the template guide,
allowing for the distance (X) between the bit and the outside
edge of the template guide. This can be calculated with the
following equation:
Distance (X) = (Outside diameter of the template guide – bit
diameter)/2

OPERATION
Adjusting the bit protrusion (See Fig. H1, H2)
To adjust the bit protrusion, loosen the locking lever (6),
and then move the depth adjustment cover (9) up or down
as desired. After this, tighten the locking lever (6) firmly to
secure the depth adjustment cover (9).
Starting & stopping (See Fig. I)
To start the tool, turn the On/off switch (1) to "ON"; to stop
it, turn the On/off switch to "OFF".
WARNING: Before plugging in the tool,
make sure the tool is switched off.
Commencing operation
Put the base plate on the workpiece to be cut without
making any contact with the bit. Turn the tool on and wait
until the tool reaches its full speed. Move the tool forward
over the workpiece surface. And ensure the base plate
flushes and advances smoothly until the cutting is finished.
For edge cutting, keep the workpiece on the left of the bit in
the feed direction. (See Fig. J1)
NOTE: Moving the tool forward too fast may cause poor
cutting quality, bit damage or motor damage. While moving
the tool forward too slowly may result in bit damage
because of heat. Before starting your cut on actual
workpiece, it is recommended to make a cut trial on a piece
of scrap lumber. This will show exactly how the cut will look
and what the dimension will be.
When using the extension guide or base guide, make sure to
keep it on the right side of the bit. This helps to keep it flush
with the workpiece surface. (See Fig. J2)
Since excessive cutting may make overload the motor, the
cutting depth should not be more than 3mm. If you want a
depth over 3mm, make several passes with progressively
deeper bit settings.
Circular cut (See Fig. K, L)
Circular work can be accomplished if you assembled the
extension guide as the figure shows. (See Fig. K)
See below for minimum and maximum radius of circles
to be cut (distance between the center of a circle and the
center of the bit):
Minimum radius: 70mm
Maximum radius: 221mm
The center hole 1 is used for cutting circles between 70 mm
and 121mm in radius.
The center hole 2 is used for cutting circles between
121mm and 221mm in radius. (See Fig. K)
NOTE: Circles between 172 mm and 186 mm in radius
cannot be cut with this guide.
Align the center hole in the extension guide with the center
