Cordless Dust Blo er Safety
Instructions
Training
Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar

Preparation
1.

will reduce personal injuries.
Operation in general
1.
S itch o the dust blo er and remove the bat-
tery cartridge and make sure that all moving
parts have come to a complete stop
henever you leave the dust blo er.

good artificial light.

Do not use nozzles other than the nozzles
provided by Makita.

If the dust blo er strikes any foreign objects
or should start making any unusual noise
or vibration, immediately s itch o the dust
blo er to stop it. Remove the battery car-
tridge from the dust blo er and inspect the
dust blo er for damage before restarting and
operating the dust blo er. If the dust blo er
is damaged, ask Makita Authorized Service
Centers for repair.
12. Do not insert fingers or other objects into
suction inlet or blo er outlet.
1 3 . Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the
s itch is in the o -position before inserting
battery cartridge, picking up or carrying the
dust blo er. Carrying the dust blo er ith
your finger on the s itch or energizing the
dust blo er that has the s itch on invites
accidents.
14. Avoid operating the dust blo er for a long time
in lo temperature environment.
15. Do not use the tool beyond the maximum out-
put pressure of the tool. U s i n g t h e t o o l a t o u t p u t
p r e s s u r e g r e a t e r t h a n t h e m a x i m u m
sure of the tool may burst the object or the tool.
Blo ing operation
1.
Never blo debris in the direction of
bystanders.
2.
Never point the nozzle at anyone in the vicinity
hen using the dust blo er.
3 .
Never blo dangerous materials, such as
nails, fragments of glass, or blades.
4.
Do not operate the dust blo er near flammable
materials.
Inflating/Deflating operation
When inflating objects, connect a nozzle or

attachment to the air inlet securely. O t h e r w i s e ,
the object, nozzle, or attachment may be dam-
aged and you may be injured.
2.
Release air pressure slo ly. When removing
a nozzle or attachment after inflating objects,
hold the object, nozzle and attachment firmly.
T h e y m a y b o u n c e d u e t o e x h a u s t a i r a n d c a u s e a n
injury.

Do not inflate object beyond the maximum
pressure of the object. O t h e r w i s e , t h e t o o l o r
object may be damaged and you may be injured.
4.
Inflate the objects intended to be inflated by
the manufacturer only, such as beach toys or
air mattress. Inflating other objects may damage
them and cause an injury.
5.
When inflating objects, check the status of the
tool and object, and be sure that there is no air
leak from the object.
6 .
Al ays be careful not to over-inflate objects
during operation. I t o t h e r w i s e m a y b u r s t t h e
objects, possibly causing damage to the tool and
personal injury.
7.
After inflating objects, check the air pressure
using a reliable and calibrated measuring
e uipment.
8.
Never leave the tool unattended hen the
nozzle or attachment is attached to the object
or during operation.
