CONNECTING TO A DEVICE AND ADJUSTING VOLUME
The HFX3 Transformer headset works with all phones and music devices that have a 3.5 mm audio jack.*
To connect the headset to your phone and adjust the volume appropriately, follow these steps:
1. Set the volume level of your phone to its lowest audible level.
2. Plug your headset into your phone.
3. Activate the music APP on your device (e.g., iTunes) or have the person on the other end of the phone start
talking continuously.
4. Rotate the volume wheel on the side of the ear cup control module upward (toward the back of the headset)
until the wheel stops. This is the highest volume level.
5. Slowly increase the volume on your device to reach a safe listening volume suitable for everyday use.
Warning: Protect your ears by practicing sensible listening. Extended exposure to high-decibel sounds may
cause permanent hearing loss
6. To lower the volume, rotate the volume wheel on the ear cup control module downward (toward the front of
the headset).
* Control buttons are optimized iOS, Android and Windows devices. However, some features may not operate

MAKING PHONE CALLS
Initiating a call. When your headset is connected to your phone's headset jack, you can make calls as you
normally would, without having to speak into the phone. The removable boom microphone attached to the
control module picks up your voice within inches of your mouth and relays it into the phone.
To answer/end a call: Press the volume knob button module button once
INTERACTING WITH A DIGITAL PERSONAL ASSISTANT
To interact with the digital personal assistant on your phone (for example, Siri on the iPhone) while wearing the
headset, follow these steps:
1. Hold the volume knob button down until you hear a beep. This action should bring up the personal assistant
capability on your phone.
2. Release the button and speak to the personal assistant as you normally would. The microphone will pick up
your voice commands.
