APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the following purpose:
To use a rotary tool as a drill press
To hold a rotary tool for polishing or sanding.
To hang a rotary tool while using a flexible shaft
attachment.
ON-BOARD ACCESSORY STORAGE
See Figures 5 - 6.
The collet wrench and frequently used accessories can
be stored on the accessory tray. For additional storage,
remove the accessory tray and place items in the storage
compartment.
INSTALLING THE VACUUM ADAPTOR
See Figure 7.
Vacuum hoses be installed for easy dust removal and
disposal. 1-1/4 in. vacuum hoses can be installed directly
into the vacuum port. For 1-7/8 in. vacuum hoses, use the
vacuum adaptor.
HOBBY STATION TABLE
See Figure 8.
Your hobby station includes a two sided table. One side is
ideal for routing, drilling, and applications that require the
fence or clamps. The other side is designed for sanding,
carving, or other free-hand applications where increased
dust management may be desired.
OPERATION
USING THE FENCE
See Figures 9 - 10.
WARNING:
Do not start your rotary tool without checking for
interference between the bit and the fence. Damage could
result to the bit if it strikes the fence during operation of
the tool. Failure to heed this warning can also result in
serious personal injury.
To install the fence:
If applicable, slide the table away from the base and
reinstall it with the routing side facing up.
Loosen the fence knobs and move them away from the
center of the fence.
Place the fence on the table with each knob inside one
of the four large holes in the table's "X" pattern.
NOTE: The fence can be installed in six different positions.
Tighten the fence knobs to secure.
When installed in a vertical, diagonal, or horizontal position
the fence can be repositioned. To reposition the fence:
Loosen both fence knobs one quarter turn.
Move the fence up and down or left and right along the
legs of the "X" pattern.
When the fence is in your desired position, tighten the
fence knobs.
MOUNTING A ROTARY TOOL
See Figures 11 - 14.
WARNING:
Use only with Listed Ryobi Rotary tools not exceeding
5lbs. Using other tools can result in serious personal
injury or property damage.
WARNING:
This product is designed to hold one rotary tool at a
time. Never attempt to place a rotary tool inside the tool
carrier and hang a rotary tool from the tool hanger at
the same time. Doing so can result in a tipping and/or
falling hazard that can result in serious personal injury or
property damage.
