4. Place the assembled shade mast in
the sun shade base and fix it in place.
See the user manual for the sun
shade base for this (see figure C).
Opening the shade
Please note!
– Before opening the sun shade, make
sure that it is adequately supported;
that is, that the corresponding base is
used (see "Technical data").
1. Slightly open the sun shade by hand
(see figure D).
2. Push the slide handle 4 up until it audi-
bly locks into place (see figure E + F).
Tilting the shade
You can tilt the sun shade.
Please note!
– If you would like to tilt the sun shade,
it must be completely open.
There are 2 versions of the tilting mech-
anism:
Version 1:
• Slide the metal sleeve 5 up and tilt the
shade pole 3 (see figure G + H).
Version 2:
• Push the button 6 and tilt the shade
pole 3 (see figure G + H).
Closing the shade
Please note!
– The sun shade must be closed in the
event of incoming wind, rain or snow.
Damages occurring as a result of a
failure to do so are not covered by the
warranty.
– When closing the sun shade, the cov-
er could get caught between the brac-
es. If this happens, please careful-
ly pull parts of the cover caught be-
tween the braces out.

Version 1:
1. Slide the metal sleeve 5 up over the
joint 7 (see figure I).
2. Position the shade so that it is straight
(see figure I).
3. Slide the metal sleeve 5 down over
the joint 7 (see figure I).
4. Push the button 8 and let the slide
handle 4 slide down (see figure J
and K).
Version 2:
1. Push the button 6 and position the
shade pole 3 so that it is straight (see
figure I).
2. Push the button 8 and let the slide
handle 4 slide down (see figure J
and K).
• If the cover is caught between the
braces, carefully pull the cover be-
tween the braces out (see figure L).

Please note!
– The cover is not suitable for machine
washing!
– Do not use a tumble-dryer.
– Do not iron.
– Do not use aggressive chemical clean-
ing agents or fluids, solvents, abra-
sive substances or objects, bleach-
ing agents, high-pressure cleaners or
strong cleaning products.
– Comply with the manufacturer's dos-
ing, application and reaction instruc-
tions.
• Hand wash the cover at 40 °C.
To clean the cover, it is best to use
a soft brush and a small amount of a
soapy solution.
