General Warnings
To ensure the safe assembly and operation of the product, these instructions must
be followed. FAILURE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY
TO THE USER OR DAMAGE TO THE PRODUCT. If you are unable to understand these
warnings, cautions and/or instructions, contact a healthcare professional, dealer or
Medline before attempting to use this product.
• DO NOT assemble and use this product without first reading and understanding this user
guide, otherwise injury or damage may occur.
• DO NOT use if components are missing or are damaged, contact Medline at
1-800-MEDLINE/1-800-268-2848.
• DO NOT exceed weight capacity of 400 lbs (181 kg).
• DO NOT make any adjustments while using the product.
• DO NOT attempt to use the arms to support full body weight.
• DO NOT stand on the frame of the product.
Cautions
Users with limited physical strength and/or mobility should be supervised and/or
assisted while using the commode. Prior to use, ensure the following:
1.
All push buttons are fully protruded and are properly engaged.
2.
There are no loose, broken or missing components and ensure all parts are secure.
3.
All screws, nuts and/or bolts are tightened.
4. When using the backrest, ensure the product remains balanced. Excessive twisting or
turning while seated on the bench may cause loss of balance and/or damage to the
product.
5.
All four legs touch the floor simultaneously at all times.
6.
The tips on the leg extensions do not contain any rips, wear or are missing.
Immediately replace missing or damaged tips.
Assembly
1.
Remove contents from box.
2.
Lay transfer bench upside down on a flat surface.
3.
Insert one suction cup leg extension into the post of the
bench seat by depressing the pushbutton and ensuring
this snaps into place. Repeat for the second suction
cup leg extension (Figure 1). Note: the suction cup leg
extensions should be on the same side as the armrest and
commode seat.
4. Insert one leg extension with tip into the bench seat by
depressing the pushbutton and ensuring this snaps into
place. Repeat for the second leg extension with tip (Figure
2).
5.
Turn transfer bench right-side-up. Depress armrest
pushbuttons and slide into the armrest receptacle tubes
with armrest arching outwards (Figure 3).
