DESCRIPTION OF THE ELEMENTS.
OPERATING PRINCIPLES.
To compress the air, the piston moves up and down inside the cylinder. In the down stroke, the
air is contracted through the inlet valve. The discharge valve remains closed. In the upward stroke
of the piston, the air is compressed. The inlet valve closes and the compressed air is forced to be
directed towards the tank through the non-return valve.
