The European direct ive 2002/96/EC on Wast e Elect rical and Elect ronic Equipment (WEEE), requires
t hat old household elect rical appliances must not be disposed of in t he normal unsort ed municipal
w ast e st ream. Old appliances must be collect ed separat ely in order t o opt imize t he recovery and
recycling of t he mat erials t hey cont ain, and reduce t he impact on human healt h and t he
environment .
The crossed out " w heeled bin" symbol on t he product reminds you of your obligat ion, t hat w hen you dispose
of t he appliance, it must be separat ely collect ed.
Consumers should cont act t heir local aut horit y or ret ailer for informat ion concerning t he correct disposal of
t heir old appliance.
